S’WINTER STATION | WINTER STATIONS 2022

Toronto Metropolitan’s DAS team of Ariel Weiss, Kelvin Hoang, Justin Lieberman, Evan Fernandes, Alexandra Winslow, and their design S’Winter Station, have been chosen for display as part of Winter Stations 2022 - an outdoor pavilion exhibit, located on Toronto’s Woodbine Beach.

Winter Stations is a single-stage international design competition held annually in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Participants are tasked with designing temporary winter art installations which incorporate existing lifeguard towers spaced strategically across the city’s Kew and Woodbine beaches. The structures (not in use in the wintertime) are considered visual anchor points for the installations.

In recognition and celebration of courage, the theme chosen for the 2022 edition of Winter Stations is Resilience: the ability to withstand adversity and recover from difficulties.
